debian on sharespace

I'm adding this as a discussion entry because I've not yet got everything written up (or even completely working, truth be told!), but I thought I'd share the news anyway -

I've managed to get debian squeeze running on my sharespace.

It took a lot of work, I don't know if it can be simplified to a state where it's possible to do it without serial access, but it is possible.

I don't really know how to use the discussion page on a wiki, so please excuse me if i do it the wrong way.

I'm really interested in the procedure you used to install debian on the Sharespace. I'm currently backing-up all its data since the failure of one of the disks. My next step was trying to hack this stuff again, since the first time playing with it leads me to a RMA ^^

I'll take a look to the information you provided about the serial cable.
